planet

join us on the sunny side

giving the bird to kids fast fashion

OK, so here’s the tea….

  • We accept we CAN’T be a 100% ‘sustainable’ brand, but we CAN approach things with an environmental focus. That’s a CAN, hold the T.
  • We CAN work with factories that are aligned to our values (paying at least minimum wage and in most cases more, offering staff training opportunities and offering safe working environments)
  • We DO focus on quality craftsmanship and materials... so no shrinky shrinky, or holes after few wears here thanking you
  • We also recognise that we are just getting started and can’t do everything we want to do from the offset. Crumbs… but watch this space

hmmmmmmmm 🤔

what does conscious fabrics means to us?

  • We use 100% organic cotton and azo-free dyes on all our garments, and our shorts also use planet-based, eco-dyes which are hand-dyed by our artisan sewing partners!
  • Our tees, rompers and sleepsuits are also Global Organic Textile Standard certified (GOTS), ensuring a responsible process throughout the supply chain from seed to final garment.

oooh yes, I see

and what about accessories?

We try to use more sustainable options for our garment accessories, including coconut buttons 🥥 and YKK eco-friendly snap domes, which are produced using less water and electricity and use no hazardous substances in their production process.

yup, yup, yup...

what you saying about styles and quantities?

  • We produce low order quantities, to ensure that we're getting a feeling for what you guys actually like so that no excess products are getting put into landfill. Our plan for the future is when a style sells well after testing in small batches we can move into slightly higher quantities.
  • We hear ya, kids grow FAAAAAST, so we’re doing what we can to extend the time they can fit into our clothes. We offer extendable waistband on our shorts, un-enclosed feet and hands on our sleepsuits (¾ pants anyone) and oversized styles for our tees.

you don't say...

carbon emissions

We recognise that we produce in India, because we have access to the very best materials, so we are doing our bit to offset our shipping carbon emissions.

We contribute towards the project 'From Waste to Fuel' which provides small family farms in Uganda with small-scale digesters, that generates biofuel for cooking and organic fertilizer. These resources generate savings and increase crop yields and incomes, helping to improve livelihoods. The project is carried out by Native, a public benefit corporation.
